I was inspired to make something minimal - perfect - that pleases the eye, but that also evokes a world of nostalgia - polaroid film, analogue picture-taking, etc. This painting experiments with a touch of "vernacular" style painting, where objects are portrayed naively, from two sides at the same time. I love this style and hope to incorporate it into more paintings (although it's hard to get just right!). My paintings have appeared in galleries throughout LA, in "Better Homes and Gardens" publications, and at Room and Board stores nationally.
